HAVE YOU MET ISSY?

Issy is one of RangeCare's Domestic Assistants.

We decided to ask Issy a couple of questions so that you can get to know her.

Here is what she had to say:

What does your role involve?

Going round to people's houses and helping them clean and be independent.

How long have you worked at RangeCare?

Probably four months now. Still new.

When and how did you first learn about RangeCare?

I went online and was searching for Aged Care because I knew that was the way I wanted to go, and I stumbled upon RangeCare.

How would you describe RangeCare?

Brilliant!

It's my first job since leaving school but if I could describe it, it's been the best experience compared to hearing from my friends. They are so kind and welcoming to everyone, they don't judge. It's been pretty good so far.

What’s the most inspiring part of your role?

It would definitely be helping the elderly. Being proud when the client is happy, thanks me for helping them and sharing all their stories.

What is a challenge in your role?

The different personalities. Meeting different people with different personalities, it's a different challenge each day adapting to different environments.

What is your favourite memory from working at RangeCare?

There will probably be so many! It's everything from going to the office and having a laugh, then going to clients houses and they have dogs, and you sit there for hours on end talking to them.

Just going to their houses and getting to know them. Every memory is a good memory.

What was your first job?

Working at Woolworth for 8 years.

What’s a fun fact most people don’t know about you?

No one thought I would be into fishing. We do it every weekend now.

What are your hobbies?

Fishing, boating and camping.

Would you recommend working at RangeCare and why?

I already have!

All my family work in Aged Care and I said they should move over to RangeCare - the best people, they always comfort you, they make the schedule around you to help you, they are accommodating. They are so awesome!
