RangeCare offers a range of healthy lifestyle programs so that you can stay physically and mentally fit, and continue to enjoy living in your home longer.
Pilates
RangeCare runs a Pilates program facilitated by our experienced instructor, Pru who specialises in guiding people to reconnect with their heart and bodies and access their intuitive wisdom and medicine within.

LOCATION: Mapleton Community Hall - 31 Obi Obi Rd, Mapleton QLD
ELIGIBILITY: No exercise experience is necessary. This program is safe for people experiencing osteoporosis and low bone mass. The class is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels, with or without bone loss. You will be required to get up and down off the floor. This service is available to anyone in the community.
WHAT TO BRING: Bring your own Pilates/Yoga mat, towel, comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and wear grip socks.
This program is available to anyone in the community.
Aqua Aerobics
Join experienced instructor Sam McTaggart for a fun 1 hour Aqua Aerobics session. This venue has a beautiful heated and covered pool, and access is specifically designed to cater for all abilities. The class will be held in the same pool each week without any interruptions.
Place: Nambour Christian College Pool
Time: 11:30am - 12:30pm

Wellness Physio Program
Would you like to learn how to prevent injury and live your best life?
Come along and join RangeCare and the Sunshine Coast Wellness physiotherapist for a weekly program that will keep you fit and healthy as you age.
Learn how to help keep your joints happy, improve your heart health and learn the importance of integrating movement into your daily life.
Sessions will be held at RangeCare Flaxton Cottage
Program runs weekly on Mondays. Costs apply.
Clients and Non-clients are welcome.
Gym Programs
Maleny Gym
Maleny Community Gym is offering RangeCare clients to use their facilities
and have their own tailored exercise program created by the gym's personal trainer, Shar. Individual support will be given when necessary to instruct the clients in using the equipment and safe practices around physical exercise. There will also be a Physiotherapist attending the session for any additional needs.
Time: 2-3pm Fridays - the gym is only open to RangeCare clients during this time
Place: Maleny Gym - Maleny show grounds under the pavilion building
Mapleton Gym
The Range Community Gym and Fitness Centre in Mapleton is offering RangeCare clients the opportunity to use their facilities with an individual exercise program written by a personal trainer. This program will be supervised by Paul, a gym instructor with 17 years of experience. Individual support will be given when necessary to instruct the clients in using the equipment and safe practices around physical exercise.
Time: 11am-12pm Fridays - the gym is only open to RangeCare clients during this time
Place: 5 Post Office Road Mapleton, underneath the Bowls Club
Allied Health Partners
RangeCare works in partnership with a wide range of local allied health professionals to support you with addressing issues impacting your health and wellbeing. Our team of allied health professionals focus on increasing your independence, mobility and overall quality of life.

Our Partners
To deliver the best outcomes for our clients, we work in partnership with:
Podiatry, diagnosing, treating, preventing and managing conditions and injuries associated with the foot, ankle and lower limb.
Physiotherapists - Repairing damage, reducing pain and stiffness, and increasing mobility through education, treatment and support.
Occupational therapists - Educating and advising people on mobility aids and/or home modifications to support their independence.
Speech therapists - Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders, as well as providing training and education to family, caregivers and other professionals supporting the individual.
Dieticians - Educating and advising on food choices and meal planning to support people to best manage their health.
Supporting people during major life events and equipping them with strategies to cope during significant transitions in life and with end-of-life support.
The cost of your allied health services will be determined by your eligibility for the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) or a Home Care Package (HCP). In some cases, you may be asked to make a co-payment. In others, you may not need to pay anything at all.
If you’re not eligible for CHSP or a HCP, you can still access allied health services through Medicare, the Department of Veterans' Affairs, or through a privately-funded arrangement.
